The Final Session.
Finalising your therapy, effectively.
What is "The Final Session"?
Your hypnotherapy is effective, you've moved the client from un-happy about whatever the issue was and they are now in a good place. Brilliant.
What do you do next?
My initial training did not in any way prepare me for those moments. It was a case of, "Thank you, Susan, we're done now, thanks for coming, see how you get on."
No! Having seen untold clients over the last 10 years there had to be a better way to that disjointed lack of finality. Did my early clients have faith in that? I doubt it very much.
The Final Session reinforces the work you have done, both consciously and subconsciously. It influences the subconscious to stay on track with what the client has achieved and sets in stone to the client that they have demonstrated that they can engage in a process of change and that they can continue it, at will, in their own time.
The subconscious becomes more entrained to pay attention to the conscious.
Think of it as a toolkit for future success.
We can never guarantee that life won't bring issues in the future. "The Final Session" goes a long way to providing the strength of will and knowledge for them to navigate bumps in the road without falling into another hole.
It's a neat, powerful conclusion and provides you as the therapist the opportunity for an extra session with each client, so revenue is improved, the client exits with empowerment and at 2000 words, it's not bloated.
From my therapy room to yours. Happy therapist, happy clients.
Best Wishes,
Matt
